Women’s Issues
Jennie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She holds a B.S. in Psychology from Liberty University and a M.S. in Social Work with a concentration in Adults: Mental Health and Wellness and a sub-concentration in Military and Families from the University of Southern California.
Jennie served in the US Army Reserve for 9 years. This service included one tour to Afghanistan. Because of her personal military experience, she has a passion for working with the Veteran and Military population as well as their families.
There are times in our lives that we may experience loss, grief, anxiety, depression, anger, and feel overwhelmed by negative experiences. During these difficult challenges, we may struggle to reach a better level of functioning. These are the perfect opportunities to reach out to those with the skills to assist us, similar to reaching out to a medical doctor when we’re experiencing medical issues. Jennie is committed to providing support and guidance to help you improve your ability to cope with life’s challenges. “Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of overcoming it”.
Jennie emphasizes the importance of addressing habits, hurts, and hang-ups to foster mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth and healing. She uses a variety of treatment methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help improve your overall wellbeing and promote optimal mental health. Jennie may also apply a faith-based approach to those who are specifically seeking that form of counseling.
Outside the office, Jennie enjoys playing music with her church, the Ally J Band, hiking, cooking/baking and spending time with her friends and family.
